The Fridge Butchery pride ourselves on supplying top quality New Zealand origin, free range, grass-fed, hormone growth promotant and antibiotic free meats!

At times during the year, our supply of hogget, lamb and beef is so local that we know its breeding and full history, giving traceability from pasture to plate. This brings us back to the good ol’ days when we really knew where our meat came from!

Our Award-Winning Sausages are readily available, with over 45 different flavour combinations (changed weekly), so there is something for everyone’s taste buds. The sausages, salami, bacon, silverside and many more smallgoods are all handcrafted on site by our talented butchers.

Our retail store and butchery, located at 9 The Mall, Cromwell has a team of knowledgeable staff ready to assist with your inquiries or simply help with some dinner inspiration.

As we are a delicatessen as well, we have a large range of local and imported cheeses, salamis, smoked seafood and a great selection of condiments.

Most days our famous pork pies are available, and our almost as well known lamb shank and mint pies and chicken and leek pies get produced as often as we can (they go so quick!).

The Fridge also has its own line of goodies – spice rubs for your meat, olive tapenade, chilli sambal, pinot noir onion marmalade and many more.

We welcome our customers to bring their own reusable containers for us to fill. Every little bit to help the environment is no issue to us! We also have the traditional brown butchers’ paper as an alternative to wrap your produce. Just ask!
